Description: Every July, the Lotus Festival takes place at Echo Park Lake, mainly because there's a huge field of lotus flowers that live at the north end of the lake and bloom in early July. The festival is essentially an Asian cultural festival, but the main reason to go is for all the delicious food. We would have gone last year, but alas, Donovan's recent birth rendered us unable to attend. But this year, we brought the boy himself, and he had a lot of fun running amok (at least, as long as we allowed him to!).
