On Wednesday morning, we walked around a bunch in midtown, eventually spending a couple hours at the Museum of Modern Art, at which many photos were taken. After a light lunch we returned to the hotel, left Donovan with another babysitter, and went to see Monty Python's Spamalot, the best musical pretty much ever. Alas, we didn't have the camera with us then, or we'd have gotten pictures with Ian McKellen and Hank Azaria. Anyway, that evening Monica and Matt and Donovan went to dinner at the Hourglass Tavern, a nice Italian hole-in-the-wall, and went to visit Matt's high school friend Tamara Beliak, and her husband Zeev, who live up in Riverdale (the Bronx). We returned to the hotel late.
On Thursday morning, we took the subway out to Brooklyn, to have lunch at Peter Luger Steakhouse, the best steakhouse in New York, almost certainly the U.S., and possibly the entire world. After taking the subway again to the Upper East Side, we met up with Lanny and Diana's old housekeeper, Maria, and her husband Pedro, who now live in New York and work for some wealthy family. We walked to Central Park and played around there for a bit, before going into the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a bit. After, we all returned to the hotel, and one last time left Donovan with a babysitter, so that we could all go see Glengarry Glen Ross. Another good show, and this time we had the camera, so Matt got a picture with Regis Philbin, who was also in attendance. Hooray!
Finally, on Friday morning, we said our goodbyes and took the subway back to JFK airport. And finally came home!
